Globular Cluster in Hydra

About
NGC 5694, a globular cluster on the Hydra–Libra border about 114,000 light-years away in the Milky Way's outer halo. It formed nearly 12 billion years ago, and its chemistry hints that it began in another galaxy and was captured later.
Imaging tips
- Only about 3′ across, so it is too small to frame: use a long focal length and a fine pixel scale.
- A small compact cluster at magnitude 10.2: in one report, 11 two-minute frames from a Bortle 8 site were enough to record it.
- Best in April and May, but it stays below 14° altitude from 50°N.
