Reflection Nebula in Taurus

About
A reflection nebula in Taurus that shines by the light of a nearby star, about 5′ across. It lies in the Taurus Molecular Cloud region, roughly 8° northeast of the Pleiades.
Imaging tips
- Only about 5′ across, so it is too small to frame on its own: use a long focal length and a fine pixel scale.
- A reflection nebula, so shoot it with broadband data rather than narrowband filters.
- One imager framed it as a two-panel mosaic at 530 mm, 8 shots of 8 minutes per panel, with the larger reflection nebula IC 359A about 45′ to the west.
- That frame also takes in B217, a filamentary dark nebula that the page gives as about 100′ long.
- Best around November and December; it peaks near 68° altitude from 50°N.
