Reflection Nebula in Sagittarius

About
A small blue reflection nebula in Sagittarius, also catalogued as NGC 6590 and first noted by John Herschel in 1830. It sits beside the similar NGC 6589 (vdB 118), and the pair is bracketed by IC 1284, a red emission nebula.
Imaging tips
- Only about 3′ across, so it is too small to frame: use a long focal length and a fine pixel scale.
- A reflection nebula, so shoot broadband.
- NGC 6589 is the neighbouring reflection nebula, and one wide image of the field also takes in M24, IC 1284 and Sh2-40, so a wider lens shows the whole setting.
- Best around June and July, but low: it peaks near 20° altitude from 50°N.
